However, rather than seeing women’s contributions in farming as merely “a woman’s touch”, we must recognize them for what they truly are—the expertise, innovation, and dedication of skilled agriculturists. Across the world, women are not just tending to farms; they are shaping the future of sustainable agriculture through smart farming techniques, eco-friendly practices, and community-driven solutions. Yet, despite their contributions, women in agriculture face the reality of being undervalued, under-resourced, and often invisible in policy decisions.
Despite their critical role in agriculture, women face systemic barriers that limit their ability to thrive. They face challenges such as:

These challenges make it harder for women to compete and innovate in a field where they are already doing so much. But despite these barriers, many are taking action to change the narrative.
